Short but sweet – I’m living the dream. As we know Fridays and Friday nights are madness night in my home getting myself ready for my Salamanca Market Stall where I have been for over a decade! So my living the dream last week was Game of Thrones, Wine, Chips and Work. Who lives their dream when working?

We had a wonderful time over the school holidays, holidaying with family, catching up with friends, and enjoyed a fun day ice skating. Did I say fun??? Well it was fun but a fall has caused myself to have a knee injury (don’t ask!!). So this brought me to do something that I had never done before – cut out patterns on a table like a normal sewer. Yes for over a decade I have always sprawled myself and all my patterns and material out over the floor.

Fridays are my Yay days! It is my busiest sewing day by far. Once the kids are home from school I then continue with my last minute market sewing making my sewing room my viewing platform to watch the kids play (and argue) outside, whilst combing a sneaky glass of wine. GoodLife xxx

Hi everyone. I’m at my happiest – back on the machine!
Due to out of my control circumstances my poor machine was having to be neglected for a few weeks. Very frustrating times for me.
So with the sun shining in through the window recently, and a glass of wine, I started to get back into my sewing while my littlest love stitches up a soft toy for a friend by my side.
It is a great pleasure for me to be able to do the things I enjoy most whilst still being there for my loves.

The kids and I went off to a birthday party on the weekend and by surprise one of the guests was wearing a Sunshine Designs original.

I’m quite well known for taking my work with me. In fact, my friend Thierry once said to me that he has never seen me just relaxing with nothing in my hands. If it’s not pinning up hems, or hand sewing, it is knitting beanies or making hair ties from my fabric scraps.
Sometimes my friends even help me. Punching the buttons or threading elastic – I will take whatever I can get!
Here I am at footy training, freezing my butt off, but with a hot latte (thanks Ali) I managed to cram quite a bit of pinning in!
